Embroidered Crest

An embroidered crest is created by stitching threads directly onto a backing material, typically using a computerized embroidery machine. The result is a textured, raised design that has a classic, tactile feel. Embroidered crests are renowned for their durability and traditional appearance, making them popular for uniforms, sports teams, and organizations. The thickness and sheen of the threads can add depth and a premium look, but the method can be more limited in terms of intricate detail and colour gradients compared to other crest types.

Printed Twill Crest

A printed twill crest uses a base layer of twill fabric onto which the design is printed, usually via screen printing or digital printing methods. The printed twill is sometimes finished with a stitched border for added durability and aesthetic appeal. This process allows for vibrant colours and more detailed artwork than traditional embroidery, while the twill fabric provides a sturdy and classic background. Printed twill crests are a good choice for designs with complex logos or multiple colours that might be difficult or costly to reproduce with embroidery alone.

Sublimated Crest

A sublimated crest is produced using a heat transfer process where dye is infused directly into the fabric fibres, resulting in a smooth, flat design. Sublimation allows for unlimited colours, photo-quality details, gradients, and complex patterns that are not possible with embroidery or standard printing. The final product is lightweight, and the design will not crack, fade, or peel off with normal use. Sublimated crests are often used for performance sportswear, event apparel, or any application where high detail, light weight, and durability are priorities.
